Amrabull Park Heritage Breeds
Amrabull Park Heritage Breeds have been breeding Highland Cattle since 2007 and Belted Galloway Cattle since 2017. Amrabull Park exhibit at shows and displays across Australia, educating about the importance of preservation and promotion of rare and heritage breeds. Amrabull Park are proud members of the Australian Highland Cattle Society Inc, Australian Belted Galloway Association and the Rare Breeds Trust of Australia
Breed profile – Belted Galloway
The Belted Galloway originated in South-West Scotland and are a polled, adaptable breed that has a distinctive white ‘belt’. They have a double coat which helps to keep them warm in winter while also helping to insolate them from the heat in summer. Colours include black, dun and red, all with the distinctive white belt as a prominent feature of the breed.

With their long horns and shaggy coats, Highland cattle are a majestic, intelligent and even-tempered breed. Originating from the Highlands and west coastal islands of Scotland, they are hardy and very adaptable. From the cold weather and snow of Scotland to the harsh Australian heat, Highlands are able to tolerate a variety of climates. They come in a variety of colours, including red, yellow, black, brindle, white, dun, silver dun and parti.
